NMS Communications (NASDAQ: NMSS), a provider of technologies and solutions for mobile applications and infrastructure, and LogicaCMG (LSE: LOG), an IT services and wireless telecomms company, announced on Tuesday (7 February) a joint ringback commercial launch for Vodafone Spain, a subsidiary of Vodafone plc, a mobile telecomms services provider. According to the company, the new service enables mobile phone subscribers to replace the usual 'ring ring' sound their callers hear with music, sound clips and other media chosen by the subscriber. ringback choices can be set via SMS, IVR or the Vodafone live! portal. Vodafone Spain's ringback tone service is based on MyCaller, a personalised mobile entertainment platform from NMS Communications, while LogicaCMG is responsible for the implementation, integration and maintenance of the solution, the companies claim. No financial details were disclosed.
